About the Course

The Leadership Development for Ministry course equips current and emerging church leaders to lead with wisdom, humility, and spiritual authority. Blending biblical principles with practical leadership strategies and personal growth lessons, this course guides students to first lead themselves before leading others — cultivating integrity, vision, and influence that reflect the character of Christ. Throughout the journey, participants will build a strong foundation of spiritual leadership rooted in Scripture while learning how to communicate with clarity, foster unity within ministry teams, and strengthen their God-given leadership style and calling. The course emphasizes creating a culture of trust, accountability, and servant leadership that empowers others and honors God. Students will also gain insight into leading through challenges with discernment, grace, and confidence, while inspiring those they lead to grow in faith and purpose. Ultimately, Leadership Development for Ministry is designed to help you grow not only as a leader in ministry but as a disciple who leads with compassion, conviction, and clarity — shaping both hearts and ministries for lasting Kingdom impact.

Pastor Jamie Barfield

About the Creator

Pastor Jamie Barfield is a Myrtle Beach native with a passion for this community. He married his high school sweetheart, Maddie, and they have three beautiful kids; Caleb, Carson, and Cami. Pastor Jamie is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God and serves as the District Overseer for Myrtle Beach and the surrounding area. He also serves on the State Evangelism Board for the Church of God in South Carolina. He has a heart for those who have been hurt by church, and he has a desire to see the Kingdom of God grow. Meet this couple and you will see the love that flows through them and understand why their marriage classes are so popular. Pastor Jamie has a one-of-a-kind outlook on how God’s word speaks into our everyday lives, but his passion for righteousness fuels his ministry.
